This project aims to explore the resilience of students in post-secondary education. Through engagement with students, faculty, and staff, we seek to understand the factors that contribute to student resilience and develop resources to enhance this vital attribute. The purpose of this study is to engage students, faculty, and staff in developing a comprehensive understanding of student resilience and the resources needed to enhance resilience within the post-secondary environment.
The research is led by Dr. Jennifer Thannhauser and Dr. Marion Brown, along with a team of co-investigators from various esteemed universities.
Participation involves completing a survey in January and May 2026, which takes approximately 30 minutes. You'll also have the opportunity to join a follow-up focus group.
The survey gathers demographic information and includes questions about student stressors, perceptions of resilience, and personal resources contributing to resilience.
Yes, all responses are confidential and will only be used for research purposes.
Eligible survey participants who express interest will be contacted directly if selected to participate in the focus group.
